How this Samothrace guide is built

Samothrace App is an independent guide built to keep a demanding island readable before arrival: ferry entry through Kamariotissa as real structure, village evenings as part of the stay, waterfalls and vathres separated from sea days, and mountain relief treated as a real planning variable rather than background scenery.

What shapes the guide

1

We do not reduce Samothrace to pure waterfall mythology

The island is stronger when ferries, villages, coast, freshwater and mountain effort are allowed to shape the stay together. Otherwise Samothrace turns into only one dramatic image.

2

Entry and movement matter more here than on softer islands

Kamariotissa, inland roads and the slower weight of movement change the whole trip. The guide treats arrival and transfer time as part of the island's structure.

3

Sea days and vathres days are not interchangeable

Freshwater mountain energy and coastal swimming do not create the same rhythm. The guide keeps them distinct so the island does not become physically and logistically confused.

4

Village rhythm is part of the answer, not only the background

Therma, village evenings and slower inland pauses matter because they reset the day. Without them, Samothrace becomes too much effort with too little shape.

5

Recommendations remain editorial judgments

Suggestions about where to stay, how much road effort to absorb or when to choose sea over freshwater remain editorial calls about usefulness, not paid ranking positions.
